Eligibility
• Deputy Director: Appointment shall be made from amongst the senior faculty members of the Institute on the recommendations of the Selection Committee as per provisions under Statute 23 (5) (a) of the NIT Statutes. Minimum 5 years of experience as Professor. Should have done at least 2 years as HoD / Dean. Sufficient contribution in academics, administration and outreach activities. Eminent person in his / her field of specialization with an outstanding academic record.

• Deputy Director: Not exceeding 60 years of age at the time of applying.
Selection Process
• Applications are invited from presently working Professors of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur. • The appointment shall be made from amongst the senior faculty members of the Institute on the recommendations of the Selection Committee as per provisions under Statute 23 (5) (a) of the NIT Statutes. • The appointment shall be for a period of three years initially which may be extended by two times for one year each on recommendation of the Board.
