Selection Process
Selection is based on a written (Main) examination, conducted under the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officer Establishment Service Rules, 2009 (as amended), following the two-tier examination system adopted by the Commission (in which only candidates who appeared in the Commission's Preliminary Eligibility Test can apply for the Main Examination). Shortlisting for the written Main Examination is done on the basis of each candidate's normalized PET-2025 score. Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the written examination - including all candidates who hold a normalized score (to two decimal places) equal to the final category-wise cut-off score. If the examination is conducted in more than one shift or day, scores will be normalized for comparative evaluation as per the Commission's Essential Notice No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anubhag (Eleven)/2019 dated 22 May 2019. Details of the written examination scheme, syllabus, and date will be notified separately in due course.

Important Instructions
