Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application (29-06-2026). Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates must have appeared in PET-2025 and hold a valid Score Card issued by UPSSSC. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in PET-2025 (absolute or normalised) will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination. Part-1 (1) History of India and Indian National Movement: Social, cultural, economic and political aspects of Indian history. The Indian National Movement — freedom movement, rise of nationalism, and attainment of independence. (2) Geography of India and World: Physical, social and economic geography of India; agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry, population and urbanization patterns, Smart Cities and Smart Villages. General information about world geography. (3) Economic and Social Development of India: Sustainable development, poverty alleviation, demography, social sector initiatives. Candidates will be tested on the relationship and problems between population, environment and urbanization. (4) Indian Polity and Indian Constitution: Constitutional development in India, Indian Constitution, Indian political system and governance, Panchayati Raj and local self-government, public policy and official issues, community development. Selection Process
Selection will be made strictly on merit through the following stages. There is no interview. Final engagement is subject to document verification and satisfactory conduct. Stage 1 – Shortlisting Based on PET-2025 Normalised Score Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their PET-2025 normalised score in a ratio of 15 times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise), including all candidates up to the cut-off normalised score (up to 2 decimal places). Stage 2 – Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Qualifying in nature. Candidates meeting the prescribed physical standards (height, chest, weight as applicable) will be permitted to appear for the Written Main Examination. Stage 3 – Written Main Examination (Objective Type) Single paper of 100 questions, 100 marks, duration 2 hours (120 minutes). Objective and multiple-choice type. Each question carries 1 mark. Negative marking: 1/4th mark (0.25) deducted for each wrong answer. Merit list prepared category-wise in descending order of written exam marks. Stage 4 – Document Verification Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Written Main Examination merit will be called for document verification.
