Age Limit
Post: Age Limit Professor: 35 to 55 years Assistant Professor: 26 to 40 years The date of calculation of age (except where indicated otherwise) is 1 July, 2026. Age relaxation for reserved categories is permissible as per rules: • SC/ST/OBC (domiciled persons of U.P. only) and State Govt. Employees of U.P.: 5 years • Emergency/Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army personnel of U.P.: 3 years + period of service rendered in the army • Persons with Disability (P.H.): 15 years • Research Scholars of Chief Minister Fellowship Programme (who have completed their tenure): up to 3 years, graded by duration of fellowship completed (1 year = 1 year relaxation, 2 years = 2 years, 3+ years = 3 years relaxation)

Selection Process
• Under the "Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (Direct Recruitment through Screening Examination) Regulations, 2025," the Commission may hold a Screening Examination for selection of candidates for interview. • Only candidates who qualify in the Screening Examination will be entitled to an Interview. • The final merit order is determined by adding 75% marks in the screening test and 25% marks in the interview. • The Screening Examination is Objective Type (OMR-based), with 4 alternatives per question. Negative marking: one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for a wrong answer; a blank question carries no penalty; multiple answers to one question are treated as wrong. • Minimum efficiency standard: SC/ST candidates must secure at least 35% marks in the Screening Examination; candidates of other categories must secure at least 40% marks, to be placed in the merit/select list. • Research Scholars of the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme who have completed their tenure are given additional weightage in the screening examination, graded by the maximum marks of the exam and the duration of the fellowship completed. • Original certificates are required for verification at the time of interview, along with a passport-size photograph attested by the head of the department/institution or a Gazetted Officer.
How to Apply
• Obtain a One Time Registration (O.T.R.) Number from the Commission's O.T.R. portal, https://otr.pariksha.nic.in, at least 72 hours before submitting the online application (if not already registered). • Visit the Commission's official website, https://uppsc.up.nic.in, and click "ALL NOTIFICATIONS/ADVERTISEMENTS." • Click "Apply" against the relevant post, then "Authenticate with O.T.R." and enter your O.T.R. Number; authenticate via O.T.P. or O.T.R. password. • Second Stage: On the Applicant Dashboard, click "Submit Details" under "Application Part-2"; your address and personal details will auto-populate from O.T.R., along with preferential qualifications for the post - select Yes/No for each. • Third Stage: Proceed to fee payment via SBI MOPS (Net Banking/Card Payments/Other Payment Modes); take a printout of the Payment Transaction Slip. • Fourth Stage: Your completed application form will be displayed; take a printout and keep it safe. • After submitting online, send self-attested photocopies of all academic/required documents along with the printout of the online form via registered/speed post or by hand, to reach the Commission's office by the hard-copy submission deadline. • Use a separate A-4 size envelope for each post applied for, with the auto-filled address-slip (downloaded from the Candidate Dashboard) pasted on it.
Important Instructions
• Knowledge of Hindi is essential. • Only OTR-based applications are accepted; applications sent through any other medium will not be accepted. • Category, sub-category, domicile, gender, date of birth, EWS, and creamy layer status claimed till the last date/modification date only will be considered valid; no representation for change will be entertained after the last date. • If found at any stage that a candidate has concealed or misrepresented information, the candidature will be rejected and the candidate may be debarred from this and future examinations/selections, up to a maximum of five years for furnishing wrong information. • Only Higher Secondary/High School Certificate is valid as proof of age. • Candidates serving under Central or State Government must produce a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of interview. • The candidature of candidates who are subsequently found ineligible will be cancelled, and any recommendation made by the Commission for appointment shall be withdrawn if found ineligible even after selection. • Envelopes containing application forms and documents for more than one post must be sent separately; combined submissions for multiple candidates in a single envelope will be rejected. • The Uttar Pradesh Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-2024, dated 06 August 2024, applies to this selection. • Reserved category candidates will be adjusted against the unreserved category in final selection only if they have not av…
