TNPSC Group 2 selection process 2026 for both Group II and Group IIA Services consists of the following successive stages: • Common Preliminary Examination: A single objective-type paper (screening test only); marks are not counted for final merit. • Main Examination: Separate Main Examinations for Group II Services and Group IIA Services. Each Main Examination has two papers - Paper I (Tamil Eligibility Test, qualifying in nature) and Paper II (counted for ranking). • Onscreen Certificate Verification: Based on Main Examination Paper II marks, candidates are admitted in the ratio of 1:3 (General category) and 1:2 (Reserved categories). • Physical Certificate Verification and Counselling: Candidates are admitted in the ratio of 1:3 (General category) and 1:1.5 (Reserved categories), based on rank.

• Visit the official TNPSC application portal, www.tnpscexams.in. • Complete One Time Registration (OTR) by paying Rs. 150/- registration fee, if not already registered (OTR is valid for five years). • Log in using your OTR User ID and Password, and click "APPLY" against this recruitment. • Verify the auto-filled OTR details and fill in the additional details required for this recruitment. • Upload your photograph (taken on or after the date of notification) and signature in the specified format and size. • Choose two examination centres for the Preliminary Examination (only one centre for benchmark-disability candidates). • Pay the Preliminary Examination fee of Rs. 100/- online (unless fee exemption is claimed). • Preview and verify all details, then click "SUBMIT" to finally submit the online application. • Note down the Application Number/Applicant ID generated after successful payment, for future reference.
