• Qualification: Minimum educational qualification of 4th pass; Resident of a village included in the saja applied for; Physically able to perform the duties of the post • Age limit: 18 to 40 years (as on 5 November 2026) Other conditions: • Must be a resident of a village included in the saja applied for; proof is required with the application. • Must be physically able to do field work; reservation for persons with disabilities does not apply. • Age and domicile certificate showing residence in Maharashtra is required. • No horizontal reservation for project-affected persons, ex-servicemen or sportspersons, as there is one post per saja. • Heirs of the saja's previous Kotwal get preference when all other things are equal.
