Eligibility
• Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India and a domicile of the State of Odisha. Librarian Post Name: Educational Qualification Librarian: Bachelor Degree in Library Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution. Other Eligibility Conditions: • Must be a citizen of India and a domicile of the State of Odisha. • Must be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed Odia as a language subject in H.S.C. or equivalent (or passed M.E. standard Odia test). • Candidates with qualifications from outside Odisha must produce equivalence and affiliation certificates. • Government servants (temporary or permanent) must produce No Objection Certificate from their employer before document verification.
Age Limit
• Minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years as on 01.01.2026 (i.e., born not earlier than 01.01.1984 and not later than 01.01.2005). Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be made solely on the basis of a Written Test. • Written Test: 150 marks, 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) • Duration: 2 hours • Marking: 1.5 marks for every correct answer; 0.5 marks deducted for every incorrect answer • Questions will be based on the syllabus available on the SSB website and answered on carbonless OMR sheets. • Qualifying Marks: 40% for UR category and 30% for SC / ST / SEBC / PwD categories. • In case of tie in marks, aggregate percentage in Graduation / equivalent examination will be considered; further tie broken by date of birth (earlier born candidate selected).
