For absorption, the following officers are eligible: • Officers holding analogous posts, or the post of Superintending Engineer and equivalent posts in the respective discipline of Civil Engg. Deptt. in the scale of pay of Rs.24,900-50,500/- with 3 years regular service in the grade in a Major Port Trust; or • Superintending Engr. and equivalent post in the respective discipline of Civil Engg. Deptt. with 2 years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of 7 years in the scale of pay of Rs. 20,600-46,500/- and Rs. 24,900-46,500/- in Civil Engg. Department of any Major Port Trust. For deputation, the Recruitment Rules make eligible officers holding analogous posts, or the post of Superintending Engineer and equivalent posts in the respective discipline of Civil Engg. Deptt. in the scale of pay of Rs.24,900-50,500/- with 3 years regular service in the grade in Govt./PSUs/Autonomous bodies. • Register on the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the MoPS&W website, onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in. • Apply for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer (Dy. CE) through OAP between 3 November 2026 and 2 December 2026. • Take a printout of the filled-in application and put it in an envelope with the documents listed below. • Superscribe the envelope "Application for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer (Dy. CE)". • Send it through your Administrative Port, which verifies the certificates while forwarding the application. • The envelope must reach the Office of the Secretary, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, 15 Strand Road, Kolkata-700001 on or before 17 December 2026.
