Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the provisions of this notification. Mandatory registration and eKYC update on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) must be completed before applying on the SMC website. Candidates must apply only through the SMC official website after completing NAPS registration. Criteria: Details Nationality: Indian Citizen NAPS Portal Registration (Mandatory): Every candidate must first register as an Apprentice on https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and mandatorily update eKYC in the Apprentice Profile before applying on the SMC website. Educational Qualification: ITI Trade Pass (for trades 1–9) OR relevant graduation/degree as specified trade-wise (for trades 10–14). Refer vacancy table for trade-specific qualification details. Prior Apprenticeship: Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship in any trade are NOT eligible — online contract generation will not be possible for such candidates. Multiple Trade Applications: Candidates possessing the required qualification for more than one trade may apply for multiple trades.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and must not exceed 34 years of age. Age relaxation will be as per Government of India / Government of Gujarat guidelines for reserved category candidates. Selection Process
Selection for engagement of apprentices will be based on merit / document verification. No written examination has been announced. Final engagement is subject to verification of eligibility and documents as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. Stage 1 – Online Application and NAPS Registration Candidates must first complete registration and eKYC update on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and then apply online on the SMC recruitment portal. Only candidates with a 100% completed NAPS profile with eKYC updated are eligible to apply on the SMC website. Stage 2 – Document Verification Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the document verification date via their registered mobile number and email ID. Candidates must appear with the original application form and all original documents along with self-attested copies. Candidates absent for document verification will have their candidature cancelled. Any discrepancy found between the application and original documents at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature. Stage 3 – Contract Generation and Joining On successful verification, the Apprenticeship contract will be generated on the Government website. The apprenticeship period will be as per the contract generated. On completion of the apprenticeship period, candidates will be immediately discharged. If a candidate leaves the apprenticeship before completion, the contract will be terminated.

Important Instructions
• THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT. The apprenticeship period is as per the contract generated on the Government website and candidates will be immediately discharged on completion of the apprenticeship period. • Mandatory NAPS portal registration with eKYC update must be completed before applying on the SMC website.
