Salary
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium under NHM, which differs by post, qualification (PG degree vs Diploma), and place of posting. Selection Process
Selection for SHSB Specialist Doctor Recruitment 2026 is based on a merit list prepared out of 100 total marks, calculated as follows: Component: Marks MBBS examination marks: 60 marks (candidate's MBBS percentage × 0.60) PG degree (MD/MS/DNB) marks: 40 marks (flat) OR Diploma marks: 30 marks (flat) Additional selection notes: • If a candidate's MBBS result was awarded in grade/CGPA, the university/institute-converted percentage will be used; otherwise the candidate is deemed to have secured 50% (the minimum qualifying percentage) as a flat rate. • For candidates from foreign medical institutes, marks are computed from the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) score multiplied by 0.6, and registration with MCI/NMC is mandatory. • Tie-breaking: If two or more candidates score equal marks, the older candidate (by date of birth) is ranked higher. If age is also equal, higher educational qualification is considered. If a tie still persists, seniority is decided alphabetically based on the candidate's name as recorded in the Class 10 certificate. • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification/Counselling, tentatively scheduled for September 2026. The final merit list, category-wise and post-wise, will be prepared after successful document verification, in accordance with prevailing Bihar reservation rules. • No TA/DA is admissible for document verification or counselling.
