Selection Process

The panel is prepared on the basis of the simple average of the marks in Matriculation and ITI. • For the Matriculation percentage, the marks obtained in all subjects are counted, not the marks of any subject or group of subjects. For the ITI percentage, the marks mentioned in the provisional/final certificate are counted. • If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate is preferred. If the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the Matriculation examination earlier is considered first. • The final merit list is prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of slots, in the descending order of the percentage of marks. • No centralized merit list is formed. After the merit list is prepared, it is advised to the respective divisions/units, and Document Verification and Medical Examination are held in the opted divisions/units based on merit, trade and vacancy. • Candidates finally enlisted are subject to verification of original testimonials and production of the medical certificate as per Annexure-IV.
