Sections A & B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to a Degree and recognised by AICTE, are also accepted. Candidates from UR/EWS category (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates applying against unreserved posts) must have a first-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks. Reserved category candidates applying against reserved posts must have at least 50% marks. Where the certificate or marksheet does not show a class/division or percentage, candidates must submit the CGPA/DGPA conversion formula issued by their university; where no such formula exists, an authorised undertaking is required, with a minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale considered equivalent to 60%.

Maximum Age: Cut-off Date for Age Calculation 40 years: As on the last date of application, i.e. 14.09.2026 Age Relaxation: • SC/ST category: 5 years • OBC-NCL category: 3 years • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years, in addition to any age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates, subject to the post being identified as suitable for PWD PwBD candidates with not less than 40% of the relevant disability are eligible for the 10-year age relaxation, subject to meeting the identified physical requirements and functional classifications for the post (locomotor disability category, as specified in the official notification).
Salary
VC No.: Post | Gross Salary CL/08/26: Engineer | Rs. 42,478 per month This remuneration is indicative and reflects the approximate emoluments at the minimum of the pay-scale. The actual remuneration will depend on the place of posting and other terms and conditions of the appointment/company policy as revised from time to time.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages: • Document Scrutiny/Verification: All candidates who successfully submit the online application are provisionally allowed to appear for document scrutiny to verify their eligibility for the applied post. • Interview: Shortlisted/eligible candidates are called for an interview, which carries a weightage of 100% - split as Technical & Professional proficiency (65%) and Personality, Communication & Competency (35%). A minimum of 60% marks in the interview is required for UR/EWS candidates (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates against reserved posts) to be considered for placement on the panel; there is no separate minimum qualifying mark in the aggregate. RITES Ltd. reserves the right to shortlist the number of candidates for interview out of the eligible pool, and may conduct the written test, document verification, or interview from its Regional Offices as per requirement. Candidates may opt to appear for the interview in Hindi or English. Selected candidates must also be found medically fit as per RITES' Standards of Medical Fitness before final appointment.
