Eligibility

Age Limit
• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2027 • Candidates must be born between 2 January 2002 and 1 January 2009 (both days inclusive) • No age relaxation (upper or lower) is permissible • Only the Date of Birth recorded in the 10th Standard/Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate (or an equivalent certificate) will be accepted, and no change will be allowed once entered in the records
Salary
The notification does not specify the exact monthly salary figures. Posts are recruited against Level-2 (GP 1900) and Level-1 (GP 1800) of the RS(RP) Rules, 2016, and all recruitments will be made at the minimum of the applicable pay scale.

Selection Process
• All eligible candidates will be called for document verification and trials. • Only candidates declared FIT (securing 25 or more out of 40 marks for game skill, physical fitness, and coach's observations during trials) will be assessed further; those declared UNFIT will not proceed. • Distribution of marks: Game skill, physical fitness & coach's observations during trials - 40 marks; Assessment of recognized sports achievements as per norms - 50 marks; Educational qualification - 10 marks; Total - 100 marks. • Minimum qualifying marks: Level-2 (GP 1900) - 65 marks; Level-1 (GP 1800) - 60 marks. • The offer of appointment will be given purely on merit; in case of a tie, preference is given to the younger candidate. • Sportspersons recruited as Junior Clerk/Accounts Clerk must pass the requisite typewriting test within 4 years of appointment, failing which regular increments after 4 years will not be released.

• Download the notification and Application Form (Annexure-I) from www.rwf.indianrailways.gov.in. • Print the application form on good quality white A4 (210 x 297 mm) paper. • Fill the form in your own handwriting using a blue ballpoint pen, in English or Hindi only. • Affix a recent passport-size photograph and provide the required signatures, left thumb impression, and personal identification marks. • Attach self-attested copies of all required documents and the prescribed Examination Fee (IPO/DD). • Write "Application against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) dated 25.07.2026 - Recruitment for the year 2026-27" on top of the sealed envelope. • Send the application by post to: The Assistant Personnel Officer, Personnel Department, Rail Wheel Factory (Ministry of Railways), Administrative Building, Yelahanka, Bangalore 560064, or drop it in the Drop Box at the Personnel Department office (2nd Floor) at the same address, before the closing date and time.

Important Instructions
• Applications received after the closing date and time will be summarily rejected; RWF will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. • Applications not in the prescribed format, incomplete, without signature/left thumb impression, in a language other than English/Hindi, or without required documents and fee, will be rejected. • Candidates applying for more than one game/event must submit separate applications with separate Examination Fees. • Candidates serving in any Government Department/PSU (including Railways) must submit a declaration of having intimated their employer, and an NOC at the time of trials, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. • Candidates debarred from RRB/RRC exams should not apply unless their debarment period is over by the closing date. • No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for document verification/trials (SC/ST candidates are eligible for free rail travel in second class for this purpose). • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. • Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of 2 years and must fill and sign a Service Bond (Annexure-E) committing to serve in their sports field for a minimum of 5 years. • Candidates recruited against Sports Quota can participate in other sporting/professional activities only with prior sanction of the Government.
