A total of 635 training seats have been announced for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. These are distributed State/UT-wise across SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR categories with horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the respective cut-off dates. Only candidates with 100% completed profile on both NAPS and NATS portals are eligible to apply through the Bank's website. Candidates can apply for only one State and one District and must not submit more than one application. Criteria: Details Nationality / Citizenship: Citizen of India / Subject of Nepal or Bhutan / Tibetan Refugee (came before 01-01-1962) / Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries - with eligibility certificate from Govt. of India where applicable. Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years and maximum of 28 years as on 01-05-2026. Maximum age indicated is for Unreserved and EWS candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay non-refundable Fees/Intimation Charges through online mode only. Bank transaction charges for online payment will have to be borne by the candidate. Selection Process
Selection for engagement of apprentices will be merit-based on HSC/10+2 marks. No written examination is conducted. Final selection is subject to verification of eligibility, district-wise vacancy availability, and medical fitness. In case of a tie in marks, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order within their respective category, state, and district. Stage 1 - Merit List (Based on HSC / 10+2 Marks) Candidates who fulfill minimum eligibility criteria will be placed in a merit list in descending order of their 10+2 marks, drawn State-wise, District-wise, and Category-wise. No written examination is conducted for this recruitment. Candidates must select their preferred State and District in the application itself. In case of equal marks, tie-break is by age in descending order within the respective category, state, and district. Stage 2 - Document Verification Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email only and must appear for document verification at their own expense. Original documents along with self-attested photocopies must be produced. Candidates failing to produce originals will not be allowed to proceed further. Stage 3 - Medical Examination Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

Candidates shall apply online through the Bank's website (https://punjabandsind.bank.in/) only. No other mode of application will be accepted. Before applying, candidates must mandatorily complete 100% registration on both the NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/) and the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/). Candidates must also note down their Enrollment ID generated on the NATS portal as it is required while applying. • THIS IS NOT AN EMPLOYMENT IN THE BANK. Candidates engaged as Apprentice will NOT be treated as "employees" of the Bank and will not be entitled to receive any benefits available for Bank employees. • The Bank shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to any Apprentice who has completed the period of training, nor shall the Apprentice be obligated to accept employment. The Apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training. • Candidates can apply for only one State and one District, and not more than one application should be submitted.
