Selection Process
Selection will be on the basis of an Interview/Personality Test/Skill Test with a maximum of 100 marks, made up of three tasks: Sl No.: Test/Task | Duration | Marks 1: Writing Skill: a description on a topic given on the spot (200 words) | 15 mins | 25 2: A brief PowerPoint Presentation of 6 slides maximum on the Forest Rights Act | 15 mins | 50 3: Computer/IT skill and Personality Test | 5 mins | 25 Total: 100 The test for selection will be held at 10:30 AM on 12 November 2026 in the office of the District Commissioner, West Karbi Anglong, Hamren. The terms also state that shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview/test through official notification/communication only. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the selection process. The decision of the Selection Committee/Competent Authority in all matters relating to eligibility, selection and engagement will be final and binding.
Important Instructions
• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual for 12 (Twelve) months only. It ends automatically when the contractual period is over, without any prior notice. • Selected candidates will have no claim to regular appointment or absorption in Government service because of this contractual engagement. • Selected candidates must join immediately after the engagement order is issued. If they do not, their candidature may be cancelled. • The place of posting will be the Office of the District Commissioner, West Karbi Anglong, or any other place within the district as decided by the authority. • During the engagement, the candidate must maintain absolute integrity, discipline and devotion to duty. • Any form of canvassing, directly or indirectly, will lead to disqualification. • The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any application without giving a reason, to modify or cancel the advertisement or recruitment process at any stage, and to increase or decrease the number of posts depending on administrative requirement.
