Eligibility
Under the RR, absorption/deputation will be of officers holding analogous posts, or the post of Asst. Secretary Gr-I in the scale of pay of Rs.9100-15100 with 5 years regular service in the grade, in a Major Port Trust.
Age Limit
The RR prints an upper age limit of 35 years for direct recruitment. It also states that this age limit does not apply in the case of promotion/absorption/deputation.

• Fill in the application in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II, "Format of Application"). Affix a photograph and give the circular number and date (File No. e-office No.2026/2329/CERS.2, dated 22.10.2026). Also fill in your personal details, caste, nationality, qualification, experience in chronological order (organisation, post held, scale of pay, from/to, nature of duties performed), addresses, and the name of your organisation. Then sign the declaration. • Submit the application through proper channel to your own Port by 20 November 2026. • Send a copy of the application in advance to [email protected] on or before 20 November 2026. This gives the Ports extra time to forward the applications. • Your Port forwards the application with the required documents, by post or by email, to: The Secretary, New Mangalore Port Authority, Panambur, Mangalore - 575 010. • The envelope must be superscribed "Application for the post of Sr. Assistant Secretary (Class-I)". • The forwarded application must reach the addressee on or before 4 December 2026.
Important Instructions
• Only applications received through proper channel within the due dates, with all the required documents, will be considered for the post. • Under the Annexure-III undertaking, the applicant agrees to accept the appointment if selected and not to withdraw. • If any information given is found to be incorrect or false, the candidature will stand cancelled.
