Eligibility

Age Limit
Maximum age: 70 years, as per the circular of the Mission Director, National Urban Health Mission, dated 25.05.2019, calculated as on the last date of application. Candidates aged 60 years or above are required to submit a physical and mental fitness certificate issued by the District Surgeon along with their application.

Selection Process
• Selection for the Medical Officer (MBBS) post is made directly through a walk-in interview; there is no written examination. • Candidates must report for registration, document scrutiny, and verification between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the interview date, followed by the interview on the same day. • Merit lists for Urban Health Centres functioning under the 15th Finance Commission are prepared based on the priority order in which the centres become operational. • Eligible candidates from the merit list are called for document verification; appointment orders are issued only after successful verification of original documents. • Selected candidates must report for duty at the assigned Urban Health Centre within 7 days of the appointment order; failure to do so, or use of undue influence/pressure tactics, will result in cancellation of selection, and the position will be offered to the next eligible candidate on the waiting list.
