Eligibility

Age Limit
Candidates must attain 18 years of age. The upper limit is "not exceeding 30 years" for Technical Assistant and "not exceeding 27 years" for Stenographer, Technician and Office Attendant. The crucial date for age, qualifications and experience is the last date of submission of application, 30 November 2026 (till 5:00 PM). Date of Birth as per HSLC/HSC or Birth Registry will be accepted as age proof. Age relaxation in different categories shall be as per Government of India norms only.

Selection Process
If applications are large in number, NIT Mizoram may shortlist candidates by methods it devises, including a Screening Test. Interviews stand discontinued for Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts; candidates will be recommended for appointment in order of merit on the basis of the Competitive Written Examination. The written papers are objective type. PwD candidates availing a scribe / reader / lab assistant get the compensatory time shown, and the minimum qualifying marks for Persons with Benchmark Disability are relaxable at the institute's discretion if enough reserved-category candidates are not available.
Important Instructions
• Incomplete applications, and any fresh papers or enclosures sent after the closing date, will not be considered; canvassing leads to disqualification. • The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on www.nitmz.ac.in; the written examination / trade test schedule will be sent by e-mail only and also placed on the website. • Original documents will have to be produced at the Competitive Examination / Trade Test, if required. • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Trade Test / Competitive Written Examination. • Selected candidates must join within one month from the date of Declaration of Results / Offer of Appointment. • Any of the posts could increase or decrease; NIT Mizoram reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts without assigning any reason. • Fake documents or wrong information will lead to summary termination of services, whenever detected. • Changes in address, phone or email must be sent in writing to the Registrar In-Charge at [email protected].
