Eligibility is assessed as on the cut-off date, 10.09.2026. Only Full Time Regular Courses are considered; only Indian Nationals above 18 years of age are eligible.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for all posts under both notices is 28 years, as on 10.09.2026. Category: Age Relaxation SC/ST: 5 years OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years Ex-Servicemen & Commissioned Officers (incl. ECOs/SSCOs): Length of military service + 3 years PwBD – UR/EWS: 10 years PwBD – OBC (NCL): 13 years PwBD – SC/ST: 15 years Cumulative relaxation for candidates falling under more than one category is admissible. However, the maximum upper age of any candidate shall not exceed 50 years, including all possible age relaxations. Ex-servicemen relaxation is also capped at a maximum age of 50 years. NCRTC employees who have completed one year of service as on the date of the notice get age relaxation to the extent of completed years of service, plus relaxation in the Full-Time qualification requirement. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD categories who apply against unreserved posts will not get the benefit of age relaxation or relaxed qualifying marks at any stage of the process. Salary
Grade/Level: Pay Scale | Initial Basic Pay Supervisor-I (S1): ₹37,000 – ₹1,15,000 | ₹37,000 Junior Maintainer (NS3): ₹18,250 – ₹59,200 | ₹18,250 In addition to Basic Pay, selected candidates will receive Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Perks and Allowances under the Cafeteria Approach, plus other benefits as per extant Company Rules.
Application Fee
• UR, OBC (NCL), EWS and Ex-Servicemen category candidates: ₹500 (non-refundable), exclusive of transaction processing charges and GST. • SC, ST and PwBD category candidates: No fee. • Fee once paid, including transaction charges and GST, is non-refundable under any circumstances. • Candidates applying for more than one post must pay the application fee separately for each post. • Payment modes: Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
Selection Process
Selection under both notices follows a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Medical Fitness Test. • The CBT will have 100 questions for 100 marks; each correct answer carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. • Duration of the CBT is 90 minutes, available in Hindi or English (candidate's choice). • Minimum qualifying percentage: 60% for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS; 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen. Final selection is on merit basis beyond the qualifying marks. • Candidates give a preference of 5 cities for their Test Centre; no change is permitted later. Test Centre options include Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kanpur, Agra, Vadodara, Indore, Thane, Pune, Guwahati, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Cuttack, Harohalli, Jaipur, and Patiala. • Candidates applying for multiple posts should note that CBTs for different posts may clash in date/time - a candidate can appear in the CBT for one post only in such cases.
How to Apply
• Visit the NCRTC website, www.ncrtc.in, and click on the "Career" link. • Open the relevant recruitment notification - "Vacancy Notice No. 33/2026" or "Vacancy Notice No. 32/2026" - depending on the post you wish to apply for. • Go through the eligibility, age criteria, and other conditions carefully before proceeding. • Register first; on successful registration, an application number/login ID and password will be generated and sent to your email and mobile number. • From 10.09.2026 onward, log in and fill the application form with all details (age, personal details, educational qualification, etc.). • Upload a recent passport-size colour photo (100–200 KB, JPG/JPEG), a recent scanned signature (80–150 KB, JPG/JPEG), and category/caste certificates plus educational and other certificates (100–1000 KB, JPG/JPEG/PDF). • Preview the application form carefully - once submitted, it cannot be edited. • Complete the fee payment (if applicable) via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking; only after successful payment will a payment acknowledgment with a unique application number be generated. • Submit the application before 09.10.2026 (23:55 hrs); it is advised to apply at least two days before the closing date to avoid transaction failures.
Important Instructions
• Applicants must ensure they fulfil all eligibility criteria on the specified dates; candidature found ineligible at any stage - even after appointment - will be cancelled/terminated. • Selection by NCRTC does not confer any right to appointment. • Caste, Ex-Servicemen and EWS certificates must be in the formats prescribed by the Government of India; no other format is acceptable. EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to Government directives/litigation outcomes. • Request for change of mailing address, email address, or mobile number will not be entertained under any circumstances. • Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Delhi only. • Candidates must keep a sufficient number of the same photograph used in the application in reserve for future use. • Admit cards must be downloaded only from www.ncrtc.in; NCRTC is not responsible for information posted on any other website. • Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate. • Bringing a mobile phone or communication device into the examination hall is deemed misconduct and may lead to immediate expulsion. • NCRTC reserves the right to call or not call any/all candidates, or to cancel/postpone the process, due to administrative reasons. • Candidates should refer only to the advertisement on the NCRTC website or Employment News; in case of any discrepancy, the content on www.ncrtc.in will prevail.
