Selection Process
• If necessary, selection process may be on basis of interview to be conducted by Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission. • Prescribed qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate for selection. • Canvassing in any form will disqualify candidature. • The Commission shall verify the integrity and background of the applicants. • The Commission may select the candidate for one of the locations specified by the applicant or any other vacant position, based on the discussion during the interview/appointment process.
Important Instructions
• Applicant shall provide up to five preferred locations to work as a Independent Member. • Canvassing in any form will disqualify candidature. • If any false/incorrect information furnished by the candidate is detected at any stage of recruitment process, his/her candidature will not be considered. • If the candidate knowingly or wilfully furnishes incorrect or false particulars or suppresses material information, he/she will be disqualified and if appointed, shall be liable for dismissal without any notice or assigning any reasons whatsoever. • The decision of the MERC in all matters relating to recruitment shall be final and no individual correspondence will be entertained. • No separate applications to be sent, if applicant is applying for the post of Independent Member at more than one location. • Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the due date shall not be considered for evaluation. • Applications submitted through any other mode shall not be accepted.
