Vacancies are announced separately for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project and the Pune Metro Rail Project, with category-wise breakup as given in the notification. Note that MAHA Metro has stated the vacancy numbers are provisional and may increase, decrease, or become nil for any post or category.
Eligibility
MAHA Metro Recruitment 2026 is open only to experienced candidates of Indian Nationality currently working in Metro Rail/ Railway/ Railway PSUs/ Government Organizations/ PSUs/ Metro Related Infrastructure Industries. Applicants must also be residents of Maharashtra State and possess a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority. Educational qualification and minimum experience required differ by post, as summarized below.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is reckoned as on the closing date, 25.09.2026, and varies by post: • 40 years - Junior Engineer (all disciplines) and Technician (all disciplines) • 45 years - Senior Office Assistant, Office Assistant, Multi Tasking Staff cum Motor Driver, and Attendant Age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ PwBD candidates will be applicable as per Government norms, wherever applicable. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and separate fee for each post. The candidate's name, date of birth, post name, and post code must be written on the reverse of the DD, or proof of the online payment/ receipt must be attached.
Selection Process
• Written Test (Online or Offline mode) - Total 70 marks, may comprise General Aptitude and Domain Knowledge. For Multi Tasking Staff/ Attendant posts, an Oral Aptitude Test may be conducted instead of an interview. • Interview - Total 30 marks, for candidates who qualify the written test as per the merit list; may comprise Experience, Educational Qualification, and Domain Knowledge. • Merit List preparation based on combined Written Test and Interview marks. • Pre-Medical Examination (PME) of selected candidates as per the merit list, at a MAHA Metro nominated hospital. • Issue of Call Letters to candidates found medically fit. The exact schedule and syllabus of the written test will be communicated in advance by MAHA Metro.
How to Apply
MAHA Metro Recruitment 2026 does not use an online application portal. Candidates must fill the physical Application Format (Annexure-I) in bold English capital letters, in their own handwriting, and send it by Speed Post. • Download or note the Application Format (Annexure-I) from the official notification. • Fill in personal, educational, and experience details in bold English capital letters by hand. • Paste a recent self-attested passport-size photograph in the space provided. • Attach self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates, experience/ office-order certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and NOC from the current employer (if applicable). • Pay the applicable application fee by Demand Draft (payable at Nagpur) or online via UPI/ BHIM, and attach proof of payment. • Seal the envelope and superscribe it with the Post Name and Advertisement Number (MAHA Metro/ N/ HR/ 05/ 2026). • Send the completed application by Speed Post so that it reaches the address below on or before 25.09.2026: General Manager (HR) Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
