Age Limit
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2026 (date of birth between 1 January 2001 and 1 January 2008). Category: Age Relaxation SC/ST: 5 years OBC-NCL: 3 years Age relaxation is subject to submission of the required documents at the time of Document Verification. Selection Process
• For all categories, marks obtained across all years/semesters are summed to arrive at an aggregate percentage, and a merit list is prepared accordingly. No rounding off is done, and no weightage is given to any particular semester or year. • In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate is preferred; if dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is selected. • Land loser candidates (as defined in the notification, whose land was acquired for the Konkan Railway Project) are given first preference in selection. • Candidates from the districts under KRCL's jurisdiction - Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), North Goa and South Goa (Goa), and Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka) - are given second preference.
How to Apply
The notification does not describe a separate online application form with a fee-payment step; engagement is through NATS portal registration followed by walk-in Document Verification. To participate in KRCL Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026-27: • Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and obtain a valid, approved NATS ID. • Check your post-wise Document Verification date from the schedule (24, 25, 27 or 28 August 2026). • Prepare original documents along with self-attested photocopies, as listed in the Required Documents section. • Arrive at the venue - Executives Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Sector-40, Opp. Seawoods Railway Station (West), Navi Mumbai-400706 - and complete registration between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on your scheduled date. • Attend Document Verification, along with the prescribed medical certificate. Selection is cancelled if a candidate fails to produce the required original testimonials at Document Verification, or if any discrepancy is noticed at any stage.
Required Documents
Candidates must bring the following original documents (as applicable) to Document Verification, along with self-attested photocopies: • Semester/year-wise mark sheets along with Degree/Diploma certificate • 10th Pass/Matriculation certificate as proof of date of birth • Land loser certificate and Tehsildar certificate (for land loser candidates), with supporting RTC land documents and proof of relationship • Legal heir and death certificate of the land loser, where applicable • Domicile certificate • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in the Central Government format, and OBC-NCL certificate issued by the Tehsildar, to claim reservation • Income and Asset Certificate for EWS category candidates • Income certificate from the Tehsildar and Minority Community declaration affidavit, for fee waiver where applicable • Gazette notification or legal document for any formal change of name • Two attested passport-size photographs • Aadhaar card and PAN card • A valid, approved NATS ID
Important Instructions
• Candidates should enter their name, father's name, and date of birth exactly as recorded in their Matriculation/SSC/High School certificate. • Candidates must maintain an active personal email ID for the entire duration of enrolment, as KRCL will send all communications only through email; requests to change the registered mobile number or email will not be entertained. • Furnishing wrong, fake, or false certificates can lead to termination of the training contract. • Training in KRCL does not confer any right to future employment or absorption in KRCL after completion. • The duration of training is 1 year, and candidates can be deployed anywhere within KRCL's jurisdiction. • Canvassing or pressuring through any source will disqualify the candidature without prior intimation. • The decision of the KRCL administration on eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, and mode of selection is final.
