Age Limit
The age limit is prescribed as per Rule of the Gazetted Probationers Rules, 1997, along with a one-time special relaxation announced for this recruitment. Category: Age Limit Minimum age (all candidates): 21 years Maximum age – General Merit candidates: 40 years Maximum age – Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B candidates: 43 years Maximum age – SC / ST / Category-1 candidates: 45 years As per Government Order No. ಸಕಇ 262 ಪಿಆರಇ 2025, dated 29-01-2026, candidates belonging to all categories covered under the above age-limit rules are entitled to a further one-time additional relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit for this recruitment. Additional age relaxation is also available as follows: Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their length of military service plus 3 years (subject to conditions); Persons with Disabilities get 10 years' relaxation; and candidates who are widowed/divorced and have not remarried get 10 years' relaxation, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
