Eligibility
• Candidates must have passed LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized University.
Age Limit
Category: Maximum Age Limit General Merit: 40 years Category-II(A)/II(B)/III(A)/III(B) of OBC: 43 years SC/ST/Category-I of OBC: 45 years Minimum age for all categories is 18 years. Age will be calculated as on 20.07.2026. Additional age relaxation is available to all categories as per the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977, and a one-time 5-year age relaxation has been provided vide Government Order No. DPAR 262 SRR 2025 dated 29.01.2026.
Salary
Selected candidates will be placed on the pay scale of ₹69,250 – 1650 – 74,200 – 1900 – 85,600 – 2300 – 99,400 – 2700 – 1,15,600 – 3100 – 1,34,200, applicable to the post of Section Officer under Karnataka Civil Services norms. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 2 years, or such extended period as may apply.

• Visit the Karnataka Examinations Authority website: https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/indexnew. • Read all instructions carefully before starting the online application. • Fill in all required particulars accurately, including Aadhaar Card number, SSLC/10th Standard registration number, and LL.B marks card details. • Provide caste and income certificate details (if applicable), and details of other reservations (rural reservation for classes 1–10, PwBD certificate, or the Kalyana Karnataka Region 371-J eligibility certificate, as applicable). • Scan and upload a recent passport-size photograph with white background (5cm x 3.5cm, 50KB–200KB) and a signature in black ball-point pen on white paper (2.5cm x 7.5cm, 25KB–50KB), both in JPG format. • Provide a valid postal address, mobile number, and email ID mandatorily for all communication. • Pay the prescribed application fee through UPI/Net Banking/Debit Card. • Preview the duly filled application before final submission. • Submit the application and take a printout for your records. • Note down and retain the application number for generating the admission card and for future reference regarding eligibility for interview. If a candidate submits more than one online application, only the last submitted application will be considered valid; all earlier applications will stand rejected.
