JKSSB has notified a total of 518 vacancies across four departments. The Commission has clarified that the actual number of posts may increase or decrease before completion of the selection process, and JKSSB is not legally liable for such variation. Age Limit

Pay scale is specific to each post, ranging from Level-2 (Rs. 19,900–63,200) for posts like Horticulture Technician Grade-IV, FMPHW, MMPHW, Junior Laboratory Assistant, and Supervisor, up to Level-6D (Rs. 35,800–113,200) for Sanitary Inspector and Level-6 (Rs. 35,400–112,400) for Health Educator. Junior Pharmacist, Para Medical Assistant, Junior Theatre Technician, Junior Ophthalmic Technician, Junior Lab Technician, and Junior Staff Nurse carry Level-4 (Rs. 25,500–81,100). Selection Process
Selection for all posts in this advertisement is made purely on the basis of merit obtained in a Written/OMR Examination - there is no interview stage for these posts. The examination consists of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions, set in English language only. There is negative marking of one-fourth (25%) of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer. The date, venue, and syllabus for the examination will be notified separately on the JKSSB website. Admission to the examination is provisional; the Board does not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications for eligibility at the time of the written examination. Ineligible candidates, once identified, will not be allowed to participate in subsequent stages, and issuance of an Admit Card does not confer any right to participation in later stages of selection.
How to Apply
• Visit the official JKSSB website, www.jkssb.nic.in, and go through the Advertisement Notification and instructions carefully. • Fill the online application form; applications through any other mode will not be accepted. • Clearly indicate the item number(s)/post(s) being applied for; only one application per item number is allowed. • Upload a live photograph, signature (10 KB–20 KB), category certificate (max 100 KB PDF), and qualification/experience certificates (self-attested, max 100 KB PDF) as required for the post. • Pay the applicable application fee online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. • Review all entries carefully before final submission, since no changes are entertained after submission. • Take a printout of the submitted application form and preserve it for Document Verification; do not submit the hard copy to the JKSSB office in person, by post, or by email. • In-service candidates must additionally forward a signed and stamped printout of the application, along with the certificate at the end of the form, through their Head of Department to the Secretary, JKSSB, by the last date of Document Verification.

Important Instructions
• Name, date of birth, father's name, and mother's name must be entered exactly as in the Matriculation Certificate, or candidature may be cancelled at the time of Document Verification. • Requests for change or correction in the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances. • Only one application is allowed per item number; multiple applications for the same item will lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment. • Requests for modification of cadre/department preferences, once filled, will not be entertained. • Applications with blurred or illegible photographs/signatures will be rejected summarily. • Candidates must carry two recent passport-size photographs and an original photo ID to the examination venue, failing which they will not be allowed to appear. • Use of mobile phones, smartwatches, smart glasses, AI-enabled devices, or any communication-capable device is strictly prohibited in the examination hall. • Candidates found using fake/fabricated applications or misusing any dignitary's name/photo are liable for legal action under the Cyber/IT Act. • The decision of the Board on eligibility, selection, examination conduct, and merit list preparation is final and binding; no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained. • Grievances regarding excess fee payment can be raised through the official grievance e-mail of JKSSB only; chargeback requests are not entertained.
