Eligibility
Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of application, i.e. 21-07-2026. Candidature is accepted provisionally and is subject to verification of documents at the Document Verification stage. Criteria: Details Domicile: Candidate must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before 21-07-2026. Educational Qualification: Varies by post as prescribed in Annexure-A of the notification. Experience: No essential experience specified for any advertised post. OBC Status: Only OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates are eligible for reservation benefits. PwBD Eligibility: PwBD candidates with disability of not less than 40% are eligible as per suitability and horizontal reservation conditions. In-Service Candidates: Must submit printout of filled online application form through proper channel via concerned Head of Department/Designated Authority before the last date of Document Verification.

Selection Process
Selection for all advertised posts will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Written/OMR Based Examination only. In case of a large number of applications, JKSSB reserves the right to apply shortlisting criteria as deemed appropriate. Stage 1 – Written/OMR Based Examination The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions set in English Language only. There will be negative marking of one-fourth of marks for each wrong answer. The date and venue of the examination shall be notified separately on the official website jkssb.nic.in. Stage 2 – Document Verification (DV) Candidates shortlisted on the basis of written examination merit will be called for Document Verification. Original documents along with self-attested photocopies must be produced. Failure to appear or produce valid documents on the scheduled DV date shall lead to cancellation of candidature. Stage 3 – Medical Examination Selected candidates must be medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the Government of J&K.

Documents to be Uploaded at the time of Online Application: • Live photograph as required during online form filling. • Scanned signature (size: 10 KB to 20 KB). • Valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. • Matriculation/10th certificate as proof of date of birth and name. • Degree/Diploma/ITI certificate and marksheets for educational qualification proof (self-attested, max size 100 KB in PDF format). • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/RBA/EWS/ALC/IB) in prescribed format valid as on cut-off date (max size 100 KB in PDF format), if applicable. • PwBD certificate, if applicable. • Ex-Servicemen certificate in Form XIV, if applicable. • Any other supporting document for claims made in the application.
