Vacancy Details
Senior Standing Counsel: Minimum 5 years of handling direct tax matters before High Courts or ITAT as an advocate; or Junior Standing Counsel of the Department for 3 years; or a retired/resigned Income-tax officer of Addl. Commissioner/Director or equivalent post held for at least 3 years, or any higher post, or a former ITAT member, subject to disciplinary conditions. Junior Standing Counsel: Minimum 3 years of handling preferably direct tax matters before High Courts or ITAT; or a retired/resigned Income-tax officer of Additional/Joint CIT or below who is eligible to appear before the High Court as an advocate, subject to disciplinary conditions.
