Selection Process
In addition to the degrees, a candidate must meet one of these conditions: • (a) Candidates should have passed GATE, OR • (b) the candidate should clear the National Level selection processes to be conducted by IIT Madras specific to this announcement.

• Go to the IC&SR careers page at icandsr.iitm.ac.in/careers/current_openings.php. Applications are accepted online only through this website. • Register on the portal. Use a correct and active email address, because the Institute will send all correspondence by email only. • Find advertisement number Advt. 220/2026 on the page and submit the application for the relevant position. • The system accepts only one application per registered login ID (email) for each advertisement. If you want to apply for more than one position, select all of them before you submit. A separate application has to be filled for each post. • Submit the application by 9 November 2026. Once submitted, the application cannot be edited or reverted. Do not apply twice for the same post, because multiple applications from one candidate may lead to rejection. • After you submit online, obtain a printout of the application form. You must hand it in when called for the test, and it will be needed at document verification, the test or the interview. Do not send a hard copy of the application to the Institute. Candidates may send testimonials from people who know their work and character well.
