Eligibility
• Assistant Professor Grade II (All Departments/Schools): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Contract basis. • Assistant Professor Grade I (All Departments/Schools): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Minimum three years of industrial/ research/ teaching experience, excluding, however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. • Assistant Professor Grade II (School of Innovation): Ph.D., the qualifications and experience criteria are as per Institute General Eligibility Criteria (Ref. Point 8(a)). Candidates without a Ph.D. satisfying all criteria of Assistant Professor Grade I, except having only 5+ years of teaching / research / professional experience, may be appointed as Assistant Professor Grade II with appropriate pay based on the number of years of experience. After satisfying the experience criteria required for Assistant Professor Grade I, they will be moved to Assistant Professor Grade I. Contract basis. • Assistant Professor Grade I (School of Innovation): Ph.D., the qualifications and experience criteria are as per Institute General Eligibility Criteria (Ref. Age Limit
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Maximum age limit is 32 years. • Assistant Professor Grade I: Maximum age limit is 35 years. • Age relaxation will be as per government rules.
Salary
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Pay Level 10, Minimum Basic Pay ₹70,900/- per month. Total emoluments approximately ₹1,39,140/-. • Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12, Minimum Basic Pay ₹1,01,500/- per month. Total emoluments approximately ₹1,94,220/-.
