Post: Vacancies | Pay Guest Teacher - Agricultural Economics: 1 | Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 1,800 per day (maximum Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month) Guest Teacher - Agricultural Engineering (Farm Machinery and Power): 1 | Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 1,800 per day (maximum Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month) Guest Teacher - Agricultural Entomology: 1 | Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 1,800 per day (maximum Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month) Guest Teacher - Agricultural Statistics and Social Science: 1 | Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 1,800 per day (maximum Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month) The eligibility and remuneration terms applicable across all posts include: • Educational Qualification: Master's degree in the relevant subject of Agriculture/Agricultural Engineering faculty with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade of 6.50 on a 10.00 point scale) with a good academic record. • NET Requirement: Qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ICAR or UGC, along with one publication in a NAAS-rated refereed journal. • NET Exemption: NET is waived off for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree completed with coursework as prescribed by UGC Regulations 2009, provided the candidate has at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4 on the last date of application submission. Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of merit, scorecard, and a Walk-in Interview evaluated alongside academic performance, research publications, and relevant experience. • Interview Date: 4 November 2026 • Reporting Time: 11:00 AM onwards • Interview Venue: Office of the Dean, College of Agriculture, IGKV, Raipur (C.G.), Pin- 492 012 • No TA or DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview. • Detailed information, results, and updates will be published on the college notice board and the university website www.igkv.ac.in.
Important Instructions
• The engagement is purely temporary on a per-day honorarium basis for one semester (First Semester 2026-27) or one academic year, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier. • Under no circumstances will temporary guest faculty services be extended beyond two years. • Selected candidates have no right to claim regular appointment or regularisation in Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. • Previously engaged guest teachers are also eligible to apply, but they will not be given any preference or priority, and selection will be made strictly on merit and scorecard. • If performance is found unsatisfactory, services may be withdrawn without prior notice or terminated with one week's notice. • Prior to joining, selected candidates must submit an affidavit/undertaking on a Rs. 50 stamp paper duly attested by a notary. • Part-time guest teachers are not entitled to any leave. • Reservation rules of the Chhattisgarh State Government apply at the college level.
