- • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Ayurvedic Nursing i.e. Ayurved Nursing Course Certificate obtained from Gujarat Ayurvedic Nursing Faculty established by the Government of Gujarat. They must also possess basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. • Registration: The candidate shall be required to get registered with the Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine at the time of application for direct selection, if not already registered. • Age Limit: Candidates must be minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years as on 13/04/2026. Age relaxation is available as follows: General category women get 5 years relaxation; Reserved category males get 5 years; Reserved category females get 10 years; General PwD males get 10 years; General PwD females get 15 years; Reserved PwD males get 15 years; Reserved PwD females get 20 years; Ex-Servicemen get relaxation equal to their service period plus 3 additional years — all within the maximum limit of 45 years.

Salary
• Selected candidates under GSSSB Staff Nurse (Ayurveda) Class-3 Recruitment 2026 will initially be appointed on a fixed pay of Rs. 40,800/- per month for the first five years along with other admissible allowances as per Government of Gujarat orders. • Pay Scale Details: After satisfactory completion of five years of service, candidates will be eligible for regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission pay scale of Rs. 29,200/- to Rs. 92,300/- (Level-5). This is subject to the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012.
Application Fee
• As per Gujarat Government norms, the examination fee for GSSSB Staff Nurse (Ayurveda) Recruitment 2026 is Rs. 500/- for Unreserved (General) category candidates and Rs. 400/- for Reserved category candidates (including all category women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD and Ex-Servicemen). • Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the fee online only through the OJAS portal using Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallets. Fee must be paid by 16 Apr 2026 (11:59 PM). Candidates must download and keep the fee payment receipt. Applications without fee payment will not be accepted. Fee is refundable only to candidates who appear for the examination.
Selection Process
• The GSSSB Staff Nurse (Ayurveda) Class-3 Recruitment 2026 selection will be conducted through a single-stage competitive written examination followed by certificate verification and merit list preparation. • Written Examination: A single MCQ-based competitive examination will be conducted in CBRT (Computer Based Response Test) / OMR mode with a total of 210 questions for 210 marks in 3 hours (180 minutes). The paper is divided into two parts — Part-A (90 marks) covering Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 marks), Constitution of India & Current Affairs & Comprehension (30 marks); and Part-B (120 marks) covering subject-specific questions related to Ayurvedic Nursing qualifications. Minimum qualifying standard is 40% in both Part-A and Part-B separately for all categories. Negative marking of 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. • Merit List & Selection: After the provisional result, candidates who qualify in both parts will be shortlisted for certificate verification at approximately 2x the number of vacancies category-wise. Final selection lists will be prepared based on total marks secured in the competitive examination, with separate category-wise lists and implementation of horizontal reservation for women and ex-servicemen. Widows get an additional 5% marks added to their exam score. Recognized sports persons (National/Inter-University/SGFI level) also get an additional 5% marks added.
