Vacancy Details
GSSSB has announced 50 vacancies for Municipal Engineer, Class-3 across Gujarat municipalities. The category-wise breakup is as follows: Category: Number of Vacancies Unreserved (UR/General): 30 Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 05 Scheduled Caste (SC): 03 Scheduled Tribe (ST): 03 Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC): 09 Total: 50 Of the total vacancies, seats are also reserved for women within each category (UR-09, EWS-01, SC-01, ST-01, SEBC-03) and 05 vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen. A separate advertisement will be issued for PWD (Divyang) reserved vacancies under the special recruitment drive for persons with disabilities; PWD reservation is therefore not shown in this notification.

Salary
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹49,600 for the first five years. After five years of satisfactory service, candidates will be placed in the regular 7th Pay Commission pay scale of ₹39,900 to ₹1,26,600 (Level-7), subject to conditions laid down in the relevant government resolutions.

How to Apply
• Visit the official website: ojas.gujarat.gov.in • Go to "Online Application", click "Apply", and select GSSSB. • Click on Advertisement No. 440/2026-27, Municipal Engineer, Class-3, then click "Apply Now". • Fill in Personal Details and Educational Details as required. • Accept the declaration/assurance and save the application to generate the Application Number. • Upload photograph (5 cm height x 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width) in JPG format (up to 15 KB each). • Click "Confirm Application" after verifying all details carefully - no changes are allowed after confirmation. • Pay the application fee online and download/print the fee receipt. • Download and save the final application form printout for future reference.

Important Instructions
• Only one application should be submitted; if multiple applications are submitted, the last confirmed application (with fee paid) will be considered valid. • Category (caste) details cannot be changed once the application is confirmed. • Reserved category candidates applying against unreserved posts will not get age or other relaxation benefits. • Widowed women candidates get 5% additional marks added to their merit score, subject to conditions specified in the notification. • Candidates with recognized sporting achievements (national/international, inter-university, or All India School Games Federation level) in specified sports are eligible for 5% additional marks, subject to producing valid certificates. • Candidates with benchmark disabilities and difficulty in writing may apply for scribe/compensatory time facility by emailing [email protected] at least two days before the exam, along with required documents. • The exam is covered under the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023; any violation will invite legal action.
