Candidates without a computer certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must produce proof of passing a basic computer knowledge test before appointment; failure to do so will lead to cancellation of selection.

Vacancy Details
A total of 100 vacancies have been announced under the Health and Family Welfare Department. The category-wise breakup is as follows: Category: Number of Posts Unreserved (General): 58 Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10 Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC): 22 Scheduled Caste (SC): 4 Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6 Total: 100 No seats are reserved for women or for persons with disabilities under this notification, since the post is open to male candidates only. Reservation for disabled candidates in this cadre is being handled through a separate special recruitment drive, Advertisement No. 275/2024-25. Ex-servicemen have a 10% horizontal reservation (10 posts) within the above categories.

Salary
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the first five years. On satisfactory completion of five years' service, candidates will be eligible for regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission pay scale of ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (Level-2), subject to the outcome of SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012 pending before the Supreme Court.

Selection Process
Selection is through a single-stage objective MCQ examination (CBRT/OMR mode), divided into two parts, with a combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). Part: Subject | Questions | Marks Part A: Reasoning & Data Interpretation | 30 | 30 Quantitative Aptitude: 30 | 30 Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension: 30 | 30 Part B: Subject related to educational qualification and its application | 120 | 120 Total: 210 | 210 There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for every wrong answer. The minimum qualifying standard is 40% in Part A and 40% in Part B independently, for all categories. After the exam, GSSSB will publish a provisional answer key, followed by a final answer key after considering objections. Candidates whose Part-A and Part-B scores meet the qualifying standard will be ranked by total marks. Approximately twice the number of category-wise vacancies will be called for document verification, after which the final selection list and waiting list will be prepared.
