Vacancy Details
The notice lists 40 vacancies: 31 regular employment posts (Part A) and 9 fixed term employment posts (Part B). The vacancies include backlog reserved vacancies.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for each post is given in the vacancy tables above and is counted as on 30.09.2026. The relaxations are: • Relaxation in the age limit for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Agniveer and PwBD candidates will be as per Government of India guidelines in force. • Internal candidates may get additional age relaxation as per GSL rules. • Candidates applying for E-7 and above posts (i.e. GM/CGM) may be granted relaxation in the upper age limit, to the extent of their excess years of relevant post-qualification experience over the experience notified for the post. After all age relaxations, the candidate should still have 03 years of residual service as on the cut-off date.
Salary
Candidates employed in Government or a PSU must have part of their total experience in the immediate lower pay scale, as shown below. Post Notified (Regular/FTE): Immediate Lower Pay Scale (IDA) | Years of Service in It Chief General Manager: Rs. 100000-3%-260000 (E-7) | 2 General Manager: Rs. 90000-3%-240000 (E-6) | 2 Additional General Manager: Rs. 80000-3%-220000 (E-5) | 2 Deputy General Manager: Rs. 70000-3%-200000 (E-4) | 2 Manager: Rs. 50000-3%-160000 (E-2) | 2 Deputy Manager: Rs. 40000-3%-140000 (E-1) | 2 • For candidates in a CDA pay scale, the immediate lower pay scale under GSL policy will be followed, and they must have 2 years of service in it. • For posts at E-7 and above (Regular and Fixed Term), candidates from Private Sector organizations must have their last two years of experience in a company with an annual turnover of at least Rs 100 crores, and must have discharged duties in a similar role. • The annual turnover criterion does not apply to posts below the E-7 level (Regular and Fixed Term), but the candidate should still have discharged duties in a similar role. • Candidates working in PSUs on a fixed term tenure with consolidated pay will be considered in line with Private Sector Organizations.

The candidature of applicants who pay less than the prescribed fee, or pay by any other method, will be rejected. Fees paid by ineligible candidates are forfeited, and no correspondence will be entertained about them.
How to Apply
GSL accepts applications only through its online application system, followed by a hard copy sent by post. Online applications open at 00.00 hrs on 23 October 2026 and close at 17.00 hrs on 22 November 2026. • Visit www.goashipyard.in. Under the link Notice Board- 'Careers', click the link 'GSL Careers'. • Click the 'Apply Online' button and select the post you wish to apply for. • Complete the personal information in the online application form, then fill in the payment details. • Pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- online through SBI e-pay (debit card/ credit card/ net banking etc.). Wait for the intimation from the server and do not press back or refresh, to avoid double charges. • Download and print the "Fee receipt" generated on successful payment. If no fee receipt is generated, the payment has failed: log in again and repeat the payment. • SUBMIT the application form. Without this step the form is treated as incomplete, and it cannot be edited after the online application is completed. • Take two printouts of the system-generated online application form. Important Instructions
• Candidates working in Government / Quasi Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel, or produce a "No Objection Certificate" at the time of the selection process. Without it they will not be allowed to take part. They must also produce a document showing their current pay scale and the date since which they have been in it. • A No Objection Certificate is not required for the fixed term employment posts. However, GSL will bear no liability for salary/leave salary/gratuity/pension contribution etc. of a candidate's previous employment in Government/Public Sector Undertakings. • Applications made in any other manner, or filled online contrary to the instructions, will be rejected. • Meeting the qualifications does not by itself entitle a candidate to be called for selection.
