Post: Pay Level (7th CPC) | Minimum Basic Pay | Approximate Minimum Gross Pay Research Engineer: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) | ₹56,100 | Around ₹1,01,130 Junior Research Engineer: Level 8 (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100) | ₹47,600 | Around ₹83,800 Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance are admissible on the Basic Pay at prevailing rates. Employees are also entitled to National Pension System (NPS), gratuity, medical reimbursement, travelling/daily allowance on tours, and leave benefits, as per Institute policy.

Selection is conducted in three stages: • Screening of Applications: Applications are screened based on educational qualifications, experience criteria (where applicable), age, and payment of the application fee. Provisionally qualified candidates are notified via the Institute website. • Written Test (Junior Research Engineer only): An online, bilingual (Hindi/English) Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) test is held at test centres in Coimbatore and/or Kochi (subject to availability based on the number of shortlisted candidates).
