Eligibility
• Candidates must be pursuing their final year of Undergraduate Engineering, OR • Candidates must be pursuing their final year of Postgraduate Engineering or Physical Science. • The course must be a full-time programme in the respective discipline from a recognised Indian University/Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC. • Candidates must have a good academic track record with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (CGPA to be converted to percentage as an average of completed semesters/years).

Selection Process
• Application Submission: Candidates submit a physical application (in an envelope) at the walk-in registration desk, along with a scanned copy sent by email. • Shortlisting: Based on academic percentage/CGPA (converted to percentage) and the mandatory college referral letter. • Interaction/Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interaction/interview at DRDL/ASL/CAS, Hyderabad. • Final Selection: Made entirely on merit basis. No communication will be sent to rejected candidates. The management reserves the right to change the vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point during the selection process, without assigning any reason.

• Obtain a mandatory referral/request letter from your college's Principal/Director, on college letterhead, recommending you as a meritorious student for the DRDL Paid Internship Scheme. • Fill out the application form as per the official format (Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, College details, Discipline, Branch Code, Degree/Semester/Year, % Marks/CGPA, Achievements, Languages Known, Referral Letter, Address, Contact details). • Walk in and submit the completed application in an envelope at the registration desk, clearly marking the envelope "Application for Paid Internship" and mentioning the relevant Branch Code (EE/ME/PH/CS). • Also forward a scanned copy of the application to: [email protected] • Ensure your application reaches by the last date of 16th August 2026 (tentative). • Wait for shortlisting intimation via phone and the DRDO website for the interview. There is no online application portal for this internship; candidates must apply through the walk-in process along with the email submission described above.
Required Documents
Selected students must submit the following documents at the time of joining: • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the college, in original, on college letterhead, confirming relief for the internship and a minimum of 15 working days' presence per month. • Police verification acknowledgement from the local police station. • Undertaking for adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923. • Undertaking to follow IT rules and regulations applicable to the Ministry of Defence. • Bank account details for transfer of the internship stipend. • Medical fitness certificate from an authorised medical practitioner holding at least an MBBS degree. • Original Aadhaar card and college ID card, for verification at the time of joining. • 3 passport-size photographs. • All previous semester mark sheets in original, for on-the-spot verification (returned immediately after verification). • Indemnity form, to be provided by the college as and when required by DRDL/ASL/CAS. • Character certificate from the college, and police verification certificate, to be brought by shortlisted candidates at the time of the walk-in.
Important Instructions
• Candidates should make their own arrangements for stay and transport in Hyderabad, and should be prepared to stay for one or more days depending on the number of candidates attending the walk-in interview. • No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible; only subsidised canteen facilities are available at DRDL/ASL/CAS. • The referral letter from the Principal/Director of the college/institute is mandatory for the application to be considered. • Shortlisted candidates must bring a character certificate from their college and a police verification certificate to the interview. • The laboratory (DRDL/ASL/CAS) will not be responsible for any injuries sustained during the internship period. • This internship does not create any obligation on DRDL/ASL/CAS to offer future employment, nor can interns claim any employment right based on completing the internship. • Selection is entirely merit-based; rejected candidates will not receive any individual communication.
