Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination, followed by a Walk-In Interview. Selected candidates will be given their joining letter on the spot at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai-600054. It is clarified that no employment is guaranteed to apprentices on completion of their training, as selection and training are strictly under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961. Additional eligibility notes: only candidates who passed the qualifying exam in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible - those who passed earlier than 2023 are not eligible. Candidates whose results were not declared by 30-08-2026 will not be considered for training, though a provisional certificate is acceptable at the time of joining, with the final NCVT/SCVT certificate to be submitted later. Expired OBC certificates will not be accepted.

Important Instructions
• Duration of training will strictly follow the Apprentices Act, 1961, the Apprenticeship Rules, and their amendments from time to time. • No employment is guaranteed to apprentices on completion of their training. • If any information or document is found false or forged at any stage, the candidature or appointment will be withdrawn immediately without assigning any reason. • Selected candidates must produce a valid police verification certificate at the time of joining, from their place of last residence or permanent address.
