The selection method depends on the qualification pathway a candidate falls under, as shown in the Qualification table above: • Interview Only: Applicable to candidates with a valid GATE score, M.E/M.Tech from an IIT/NIT, or (for Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering) B.Sc + M.Sc with a valid GATE/NET score. • Shortlisting by Written Test followed by Interview: Applicable to candidates qualifying through other routes, such as B.E/B.Tech with M.E/M.Tech, B.E/B.Tech with 2 years of relevant experience, or B.E/B.Tech alone. The written test will follow the same syllabus as GATE for the relevant discipline and will have negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates are advised to bring a scientific calculator to the written test. Both the written test and interview will be conducted in Bangalore, on dates published on the ADA website based on the number of registered candidates.
How to Apply
• Visit the official ADA website at https://ada.gov.in and register online for the Project Assistant-I engagement, selecting the relevant Engineering Discipline and qualification criteria. • Complete the online registration on or before 13th August 2026, 1700 hrs. • Separately fill the application form in the prescribed format, affix a recent passport-size photograph on the top right corner of the first page, and keep it ready along with originals and self-attested copies of all supporting documents. • Frequently check the ADA website for the confirmed written test/interview date, as the tentative dates (16th, 23rd, or 30th August 2026) may be finalised based on the number of registered candidates. • Report for the written test/interview in Bangalore on the notified date, carrying the duly filled application form, original documents, self-attested copies, original Aadhaar card, a scientific calculator (for the written test), and an NOC from the employer if currently employed in a Government department/PSU/Autonomous Body. • Only Indian Nationals can apply for this engagement. • The engagement is on a tenure basis and confers no right, implicit or explicit, for continuation beyond tenure, absorption, or regularisation in ADA. • ADA reserves the right to operate the selection panel flexibly across disciplines for available and future anticipated vacancies, based on its requirement, for a period of six months. • Qualification and age will be reckoned as on the closing date of registration, i.e., 13th August 2026. • Carrying electronic items such as mobile phones, pen drives, or smart watches is strictly prohibited inside the ADA campus/venue for the written test. • No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview/written test, irrespective of the outcome of selection. • Misrepresentation or falsification of facts detected at any stage of the selection process, or misconduct/misbehaviour during or after selection, will result in cancellation of candidature without notice and may lead to legal action. • Part-time experience, apprenticeship training, periods of training, teaching experience, or experience as a trainee will not be counted toward the required years of relevant experience. • Only registered candidates will be permitted to appear for the written test/interview; however, registration alone is not considered a complete application.
