Post Name: Total Posts | Qualification Required Community Health Officer (CHO – Nursing): 93 | B.Sc Nursing with Integrated course of BPCCHN (passed in 2021 or thereafter) from institute recognized by WBNC, with valid registration/provisional certificate; or GNM/Post Basic B.Sc/B.Sc Nursing before 2021 for CPCH training as per notification, permanent resident of West Bengal, proficiency in Bengali/local language & dialect. Community Health Officer (CHO – BAMS): 5 | BAMS degree from recognized Institute/University with registration/provisional certificate from Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad (West Bengal Ayurved Council), permanent resident of West Bengal, proficiency in Bengali/local language & dialect.
Age Limit
• Maximum Age: 40 Years as on 01 April 2026 • Age Relaxation: As per Government of West Bengal norms for reserved categories.
Salary
Pay Scale: Consolidated Rs. 20,000/- per month after posting as CHO in Suswasthya Kendra/SC-HWC Performance Linked Incentive (PLI): Up to Rs. 5,000/- per month based on approved parameters Stipend During Training: Rs. 10,000/- per month during mandatory CPCH training (for GNM/B.Sc Nursing before 2021 and BAMS categories as applicable) Tenure of Engagement: Purely contractual up to end of financial year, extendable based on performance and continuation of scheme by DHFWS, West Bengal

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through the following stages as per category-wise criteria mentioned in the notification. • Written Examination – For B.Sc Nursing with Integrated BPCCHN / GNM / Post Basic B.Sc / B.Sc Nursing candidates: merit list based on written test (85% weightage). • Academic Merit – For BAMS candidates: merit list based on academic result (85% weightage). • Interview – 15% weightage for all eligible shortlisted candidates. • Document Verification – Verification of age, qualification, registration, residential, caste, EWS and other certificates as per point 16 of notification. • Panel & Posting – Panel will be valid for 1 year; posting after online counselling to SC–Suswasthya Kendras of Uttar Dinajpur.
