Eligibility

Salary
Recruited candidates will draw pay as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix: • Technician (Semi Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900) • Technician (Skilled): Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200) In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, medical facilities, CSD facilities, and other allowances/advances as per extant Government of India rules. Recruited candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme (NPS)/Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as applicable.

Selection is done through a Written Test followed by a Trade Test - there is no interview. • Written Test: Objective type, Multiple Choice Questions only; no negative marking for wrong answers; duration 90 minutes; 100 questions for 100 marks. Part: Subject | Questions | Marks (i): General Intelligence and Reasoning | 25 | 25 (ii): General Awareness | 25 | 25 (iii): English Language and Comprehension | 25 | 25 (iv): Numerical Aptitude | 25 | 25 -: Total | 100 | 100 Question papers for Parts (i), (ii), and (iv) are set in English and Hindi; Part (iii) is in English only. Candidates are shortlisted for the Trade Test based on written test marks and category of reservation. The Trade Test carries 100 marks, with a minimum qualifying mark of 40. The final merit list is prepared post both tests, based on Trade and Establishment. In case of a tie, resolution is by (1) older date of birth ranked higher, then (2) higher marks in Numerical Aptitude, then Reasoning, then General Awareness.
How to Apply
DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 has no apply-online option. The application must be sent physically by Registered or Speed Post only. • Fill the application in the prescribed format (Appendix 'A'), typed in English on A4 size paper. • Attach the Admit Card in the prescribed format - Appendix 'B' for Technician (Semi Skilled) or Appendix 'C' for Technician (Skilled) - submitted in duplicate. • Affix one self-attested passport-size photo on the application form, and one self-attested photo on each of the two admit card copies (three photos total). • Enclose a self-addressed envelope (30cm x 12cm) affixed with a postal stamp of Rs. 55/- for admit card despatch. • Clearly superscribe the envelope: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [Technician (Semi Skilled) / Technician (Skilled)] AND CATEGORY [SC/ST/OBC/UR]". • Candidates already working in Government Service or a Public Sector Undertaking must route their application through proper channel, with a No Objection Certificate from their Head of Office; applications without this NOC are summarily rejected without further communication. • Send the complete application by Registered/Speed Post to: Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Systems), DGQA Technical Complex, Manovikas Nagar P.O., Secunderabad – 500009.
