The upper age limit is 25 years as on 04 September 2026, meaning applicants should be born on or after 05 September 2001. Salary
Selected candidates will undergo a two-year training period and will be paid a monthly stipend, along with eligibility for extra hours of work beyond normal work hours. Training Period: Monthly Stipend First Year: ₹14,000 Second Year: ₹20,000 There will be a performance evaluation at the end of the first year, and the second year of training will be given only to successful candidates. Depending on organisational requirements, vacancy availability and individual performance, successful trainees may be considered for contractual posts for a period of 5 years, at CSL's discretion. The notification does not specify a regular/permanent appointment at the end of training, and CSL clarifies that it is not liable for regular appointment of trainees during or after the two-year training period.

Selection Process
Selection for CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Recruitment 2026 is entirely through a Practical Test carrying 100 marks. Candidates are required to prepare a drawing using CAD software, and the test will be held at CSL, Kochi.
