The 162 vacancies are distributed across all 14 districts of Kerala. Candidates must indicate one district of preference while applying, and will be considered only against vacancies in that district. Destination-wise numbers within a district are not separately fixed; more than one Green Marshal may be deployed at a single destination based on operational requirements. S. However, based on operational requirements, tourist importance, and visitor demand, the Directorate of Tourism/CMD reserves the right to deploy or re-deploy candidates to any tourism destination in any district of Kerala, and candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in the state as directed.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of India and must satisfy themselves that they meet all eligibility conditions before applying. A valid personal mobile number and email ID must be maintained throughout the recruitment process. Any claim of equivalency, alternative qualification, relaxation, or other eligibility based on a Government Order, notification, circular, or regulation must be specifically claimed and substantiated by the applicant at the time of submitting the online application, with the relevant supporting document uploaded along with the application.
Age Limit

Salary
Selected candidates will be paid ₹810 per day, payable on the basis of actual attendance/days engaged, subject to applicable deductions and rules. The engagement is purely temporary and for one year, and does not confer any right or claim to regular appointment, permanent employment, continuation, renewal, or absorption in the Directorate of Tourism, CMD, or Government service.
Selection Process
• Shortlisting is done district-wise based on the percentage of marks obtained in the SSLC/equivalent qualifying examination, subject to eligibility and document verification. Percentage is calculated as Marks Obtained ÷ Maximum Marks × 100, system-calculated from the marks entered and verified against original documents. • Final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in an interview/proficiency assessment conducted by the Directorate of Tourism. • Where two or more candidates have the same SSLC percentage, preference is given to local residents of the district, subject to production and verification of valid residence proof. • Where SSLC percentages are equal and local preference does not resolve the tie, the older candidate (based on date of birth) ranks higher.
