CIHTS Eligibility varies by post and subject. Age Limit
No general age limit is specified for most CIHTS posts. Specific age conditions apply only to the following posts: • Post Code 26091, BRA Research Professor (Tenure Post): Age below 65 years. • Post Code 26403, Assistant Professor, Sowa-Rigpa (NCISM-2022): Age must not exceed 45 years at the time of first appointment. Relaxation in the percentage of marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates is provided in accordance with UGC/GOI/CIHTS rules, and the Institute reserves the right to adopt relaxation and/or upgradation of qualification/experience/age at any stage, as recommended by the Screening/Selection Committee.

Selection Process
• Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview; CIHTS reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview. • The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the CIHTS website. Registration is provisional, as the eligibility of shortlisted candidates will be verified at the time of Interview/Written Test from original documents. • A registered candidate's candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process, or even after joining, if any information provided is found false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria. • In-service candidates should apply through proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer with the application, or at the time of interview/written test if shortlisted. • Candidates will have to appear for the interview/written test at their own expense/arrangements. • The Institute reserves the right to adopt an appropriate method of screening and shortlisting candidates at any stage, which may include relaxation and/or upgradation of qualification/experience/age, as recommended by the Screening/Selection Committee. • The decision of CIHTS in all matters relating to recruitment will be final and binding on candidates.
