Eligibility
• Qualification: Essential (for direct recruitment, as per RR): Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized university / institution; Nine years experience in relevant discipline in an executive cadre in an Industrial / Commercial / Govt. Undertaking; Absorption / deputation: Officers holding analogous posts or the feeder post with 4 years regular service in the grade in a Major Port Trust • Experience: Nine years experience in relevant discipline in an executive cadre in an Industrial/Commercial/Govt. Undertaking (as prescribed in the RR for direct recruitment) • Age limit: Maximum 40 years (as on 18 December 2026) Other conditions: • Open only to eligible officers of Major Port Authorities • Applications must be forwarded through proper channel by the officer's Port Authority • Crucial date for determining eligibility is 18.12.2026, the last date of receipt of applications

• Apply through the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (http://onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in). • Send a print-out of the online application through proper channel with copies of educational qualifications and experience. • Attach the undertaking not to withdraw if selected (Annexure-5) and affix a self attested passport size photo on the application. • The Port Authority forwards the application with ACRs/APARs, NOC, vigilance clearance and service details to reach Secretary, Chennai Port Authority by 18.12.2026.
