Selection Process
Selection for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026 is based on a written examination (LST26) conducted by CGSSB. • The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, carrying 1 mark each. • Total exam duration is 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM). • Each question has four options; candidates must fully darken one circle using a blue or black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet. • Negative marking applies: 1/4 mark is deducted for a wrong answer or for marking more than one option. • Unattempted questions are awarded zero marks. • Document verification, final selection, and appointment are handled separately by the recruiting department and are outside CGSSB's scope.

Important Instructions
• Report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam for verification and frisking. • The main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam starts (9:30 AM, as the exam begins at 10:00 AM); no entry is allowed after this. • Carry the admit card, a black or blue ballpoint pen, and an original photo ID (Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card). • Wear light-coloured, half-sleeve clothing; black, dark blue, dark green, purple, maroon, and dark chocolate-coloured clothing is not permitted. • Wear slippers/sandals as footwear; ear ornaments of any kind are not allowed. • Communication devices, electronic devices, electronic watches, purses, pouches, scarves, belts, and caps are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. • Candidates in religious or cultural attire must report early and undergo additional security checks. • Leaving the exam room during the first and last 30 minutes of the exam is not permitted. • Objections to the provisional answer key can be raised online only, with a fee of ₹50 per question and supporting evidence; objections by post, email, or in person are not accepted. • Re-checking or re-evaluation of OMR answer sheets is not permitted, as evaluation is done by machine.
