Eligibility is assessed as on 01.07.2026 (date of reckoning for post-qualification experience) unless stated otherwise. Age Limit
• General (including EWS) candidates: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 25 years (as on 01.07.2026) • OBC (NCL) candidates: Relaxation of 3 years in maximum age limit • SC/ST candidates: Relaxation of 5 years in maximum age limit • PwBD candidates (disability not less than 40%): Relaxation of 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD, 13 years for OBC(NCL) PwBD) • Ex-Servicemen: Actual military service period deducted from age, subject to conditions • Total cumulative age relaxation across categories is capped at 15 years
Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in the entry-level NG-2 grade at a starting minimum basic pay of ₹26,500/- in the pay scale of ₹26,500/- – ₹34,000/-. Besides Basic Pay, candidates will be eligible for Industrial pattern Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances/benefits as per Corporation rules.

General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹590/- (₹500/- plus 18% GST, i.e., ₹90/-), plus payment gateway charges if any, through online payment mode only. SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Selection Process
• Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 objective-type questions of 1 mark each, 120 minutes duration, conducted in English only, with no negative marking. The paper has two sections — Domain Knowledge (60 marks) and General Aptitude comprising English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness & Current Affairs (40 marks). • Stage 2 – Skill/Proficiency Test (SPT): Qualifying in nature, conducted at the respective refinery locations for candidates who clear the CBT cut-off. • Stage 3 – Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to candidates meeting BPCL's Medical Fitness norms and standards. Merely qualifying the CBT does not guarantee a call for SPT; shortlisting depends on the number of positions, reservation ratios, and relative performance.
