Selection Process
Selection for the post of Anganwadi Sahayika under direct recruitment follows a defined order of priority among eligible resident candidates of the same gram sabha/ward: • First priority: A widow woman residing in the same gram sabha/ward (urban areas), living below the poverty line (BPL). If a widow is not available, then a BPL abandoned woman or a legally divorced woman whose maintenance case has been accepted by a competent court will be considered. If neither is available, other women living below the poverty line will be considered. • Second priority: If no widow, divorced, or abandoned BPL candidate is available under the first priority, candidates living above the poverty line will be considered for selection in the order mentioned in the government order. Merit among eligible candidates is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained from Intermediate up to Post Graduate qualifications (High School marks excluded).
