- • As per the NMC (Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025), DNB / DNB Super Speciality qualifications are also recognized as valid for selection to the Senior Resident/Tutor post. • The minimum educational qualification for Senior Resident/Tutor posts is a Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject/specialty. • Only in case of a shortage of eligible postgraduate-degree candidates, candidates with a minimum qualification of Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant subject will be considered; however, such diploma holders will have 10 marks deducted in the merit list compared to postgraduate degree holders, and postgraduate degree holders will rank higher in merit even if diploma holders secure the same marks. • Candidates holding a postgraduate qualification recognized as equivalent under Medical Council teacher eligibility qualification norms are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as on 1 August 2026, as per General Administration Department Resolution No. 294 dated 7 January 2016. Category: Maximum Age Limit Unreserved (Male): 37 years Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (Male & Female) and Unreserved (Female): 40 years Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female): 42 years • Members of the Bihar State Health Service cadre are entitled to a 5-year age relaxation as per the applicable service rules. • Candidates who complete the eligibility conditions between 1 August 2025 and 1 August 2026 are also covered under this age limit, provided they meet other eligibility conditions. • Persons with Disabilities (Divyang) are entitled to an additional 10-year relaxation in the maximum age limit; however, only one relaxation provision (either on the basis of disability or any other applicable basis) can be availed - the two cannot be combined. Salary
Selected candidates appointed to the tenure post of Senior Resident/Tutor will be paid as per Pay Level-09 of the pay matrix, along with Dearness Allowance (DA) and other admissible allowances. Doctors already serving in the Bihar State Health Service cadre will continue to draw their existing pay along with DA and other permissible allowances.

• Visit the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and download the Prospectus for detailed eligibility and instructions. • Click on the "Online Portal of Senior Resident/Tutor under Health Dept." link, then click "Apply for Senior Resident/Tutor" and select "New Registration." • Step 1 (Registration): Fill in all information correctly using only your own or your parent's email ID and mobile number, and verify the OTPs sent to both. These cannot be changed after verification. • Step 2 (Multi-Step Application Form): Complete Department Selection, Personal Information, Contact Details, and Educational Information sections, clicking "Save & Continue" after each. Upload a scanned colour photograph and signature, along with a live photograph, as instructed. • Step 3 (Application Preview & Final Submit): Review all entries, use "Back to Edit" to correct any anomalies, and then click "Final Submit & Proceed to Payment." • Step 4 (Payment of Counselling Fee): Complete the payment of ₹2,250/- through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI, along with the applicable processing charge. • Step 5 (Download Confirmation Page & Fee Receipt): Download and verify the Confirmation Page and Fee Receipt; corrections, if any, can be made only during the specified Online Editing period (9 September 2026).

Candidates must produce the following original certificates, along with one extra photocopy of each, at the time of Counselling/Document Verification: • Admit Card/Original Marksheet/Certificate of Matriculation or equivalent • Marksheet of MBBS/BDS (Parts I, II & III) • Passing Certificate of MBBS/BDS • Attempt Certificate of MBBS/BDS • Marksheet/Passing Certificate of the Speciality subject • Certificate of PhD/DM/MCh/MSc, if applicable • Medical Registration Certificate • Experience Certificate, if any • Attested copy of No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer, if the applicant is in service • Current Caste Certificate with Non-Creamy Layer, issued by the D.M./S.D.O. Important Instructions
• An incompletely filled, altered, or tampered online application will be rejected. • Candidates must carefully fill in their reservation category, taking into account the reservation policy/rules applicable in the State of Bihar, before starting the online application process. • The hard copy of the application form need not be sent to the Board's office; it must instead be made available at the time of Counselling. • Once the online application form is finally submitted, no change or modification is permitted, and the application cannot be withdrawn; no request for refund/chargeback of the paid Counselling Fee will be entertained. • The Board will not be responsible for any interruption in Internet or banking systems - candidates should not wait until the last date to complete the process. • Detailed eligibility, educational and residential qualifications, and other rules/conditions are available in the Prospectus on the BCECEB website. • The Department's decision on post-selection posting is final, and no claim regarding posting will be entertained. • No travel allowance will be paid for Counselling. • The Counselling/Interview schedule will be communicated in due course after receipt of applications; candidates must bring all required original documents at the time of Counselling/Interview.
