Eligibility
Post: Qualification Fireman: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board; must be conversant with the use and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, fire engines, trailers, pumps, foam branches, and first-aid firefighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump; must know elementary fire-fighting principles and be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills Leading Fireman: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board; must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, fire engines, trailers, pumps, and foam branches; must be capable of training and guiding staff and controlling the working of a B crane, and capable of taking independent charge of a shift Fire Engine Driver: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board; must be proficient in trade work; must have at least three years' experience driving heavy vehicles and hold a valid driving licence; preferably certified by a reputed institution after attending a fireman course Librarian: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board; must be proficient in the trade
Age Limit
The age of candidates for Fireman, Leading Fireman, Fire Engine Driver, and Librarian must be between 18 and 25 years. Category: Age Relaxation Govt. servants and Ex-Servicemen: As per existing Govt rules total service rendered in Armed Forces plus 3 years SC/ST reserved post: Up to 5 years OBC - Non-creamy layer reserved post: Up to 3 years PWD - UR category: 10 years PWD - OBC Non-creamy layer: 13 years PWD - SC/ST: 15 years Departmental candidates with 3 years' continuous Central Govt service: Up to 40 years 45 years for SC/ST SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against an unreserved post will not be given age or other concessions meant for their category. Age will be calculated as on the last date prescribed for receipt of application, based on the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation certificate. How to Apply
Applications must be submitted offline, on plain paper, duly typed or neatly handwritten in the prescribed proforma format given in the notification. Interested and eligible candidates should follow the process below: • Read the full notification carefully and confirm eligibility for the post before applying. • Fill the application as per the proforma provided in the notification, in English or Hindi. • Attach self-attested copies of required certificates: Aadhar Card, Domicile, Matriculation Pass Certificate, Mark Sheet of Class X/Matriculation, Experience Certificate, and proof of caste/category SC/ST/OBC/PH-PWD/ESM/EWS, where applicable. • Attach two self-attested passport-size photographs with name and father's name written on the back. • Write the required details on top of the application cover envelope in capital letters, including the post applied for and matriculation percentage in the specified colour ink red for up to 50%, blue for 51-60%, black for above 61%, as per the format in Appendix-I. • Enclose a self-addressed registered envelope duly affixed with the appropriate postal stamp. • Send the completed application to: The Presiding Officer, Civilian Direct Recruitment Board, Civ CR, ASC Centre South, Agram Post, Bangalore - 560007. Important Instructions
• Merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification does not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for the Skill/Physical/Practical and written test; shortlisting may be resorted to if applications are large in number. • No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in tests. • OBC, SC, ST, and EWS candidates must submit certificates in the prescribed formats Appendix-II and Appendix-IV and have no concession when competing against General category vacancies. • Government/PSU employees must apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate. • Serving Defence personnel must enclose a No Objection Certificate issued by their Record Office. • ESM candidates must submit an Ex-Servicemen certificate, Discharge Certificate copy, and an undertaking Appendix-III. • No extra weightage is given for additional or higher qualifications beyond those prescribed in the Recruitment Rules. • The Commandant, ASC Centre South reserves the right to change the number of vacancies or cancel/suspend/terminate the recruitment process at any stage. • Candidates are cautioned against unscrupulous elements offering appointment through illegal gratification; selection is purely merit-based.
