Eligibility
Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification, experience, and age criteria as on the last date of submission of the online application (the applicable cut-off date). Both medical and non-medical candidates can apply for eligible disciplines.
Age Limit
Post: Maximum Age Limit Professor / Additional Professor: 58 years Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: 50 years The upper age limit is calculated as on the last date of submission of the online application. Age relaxation is admissible as follows: Category: Age Relaxation SC/ST: 5 years OBC: 3 years PwBD (OH-OL and BL): 10 years Government Servant: 5 years No age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying against unreserved vacancies. Salary
Post: Pay Level (7th CPC) | Minimum Pay (Basic) Professor: Level 14-A | Rs. 1,68,900/- (plus NPA for medically qualified candidates) Additional Professor: Level 13-A2+ | Rs. 1,48,200/- (plus NPA for medically qualified candidates) Associate Professor: Level 13-A1+ | Rs. 1,38,300/- (plus NPA for medically qualified candidates) Assistant Professor: Level 12 (movable to Level 13 after 3 years) | Rs. 1,01,500/- (plus NPA for medically qualified candidates) All posts also carry usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees of similar status posted at Guwahati, Assam.

Selection Process
• Screening of applications is done on the basis of the bio-data submitted by candidates. • If a large number of candidates apply for a post, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for interview. • Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, where they must produce all original documents in support of the details furnished in their application. • Candidates may also be required to submit an affidavit or declaration as decided by AIIMS Guwahati at the time of interview. • Interviews will be held at AIIMS Guwahati or any other venue decided by the Executive Director. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. The prescribed qualification is the minimum requirement; merely possessing it does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview or selection.

Important Instructions
• Candidates can apply for more than one post, but must submit a separate application and pay a separate fee for each post. • Online applications without receipt of the signed hard copy will not be considered. • Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria as on the closing date of the online application, failing which their application will be rejected. • 4% of the total vacancies are horizontally reserved for PwBD (OH-OL and BL) candidates as per applicable Government of India norms. • Candidates already employed in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies must take prior permission from their employer before applying and produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview. • The probation period for selected candidates is two years. • Private practice of any kind is prohibited, as the posts are whole-time. • Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification. • AIIMS Guwahati reserves the right to increase, decrease, amend, or cancel the advertisement, in part or whole, without assigning any reason.
